ADVANCED PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID (EMPATHETIC SUPPORTIVE CONVERSATIONS)
Knowing what to do is one thing. Knowing how to show up in the conversation is another. This course is where everything you have learned becomes instinct -- and where real confidence is built.
Description
Who this is for
This course is for those who have completed both the Foundational and Intermediate Psychological First Aid courses and are ready to take their capability to its highest level. You understand the framework. Now it is time to master the one thing that matters most in those critical moments: the conversation itself.
What you will walk away with
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Respond to early signs of distress with empathic awareness, without diagnosing or overstepping
- Use empathetic listening as a containment skill, not a problem-solving exercise
- Initiate, hold and close a difficult workplace conversation safely and within your role
- Navigate more sensitive disclosures -- anxiety, grief, trauma and beyond -- with calm and clarity
About this programme
This is a non-clinical course. You will not be asked to diagnose, counsel or treat. You will learn to show up with empathy and clarity, and to connect someone to the right help at the right time.
No diagnosis. No therapy. Just the right conversation.
